CONVENTIONAL INSTALLATION

"Conventional Installations" use an Intake Adapter, the Pump and a Transom Adapter
that seals around the pump bowl. Most "12JC & G" jet drives were installed this way, with the
clean-out (hand hole) inside the boat, until the mid 1990's. Generally, aluminum boat builders
made the switch to "set-back" installations sooner than fiberglass builders.
Some builders still prefer this method. If you are replacing a Berkeley pump in a boat with a
Transom Adapter, let us know if you want the exterior (Transom) O-ring groove in your bowl.
