The inner and outer races of the double row thrust
bearing have a loading groove (notch) on one side.
"Outward converging" bearings, e.g. Koyo, FAG, ZKL, should be installed with the loading groove
facing forward, toward the engine. The "Marine Jet Drive Repair" manual by Seloc shows the correct orientation
in the photo on page
7-24, but has a confusing description in the text.
